Magician: Once there was, endless lightFrom the source emerged all space, all of time.Universe has now begun,The wheel of fate has charted its course.Sprawling in the endless void theScattered dust had found the way to their home.Planets forming, life was growing,Wondering just why they were born, ever roaming.Can you count, all the stars, shining in the sky?They say that somewhere out there, among them, there is life.I don’t know how long it would takeThe struggles we would make,But I wonder, if we found them,What would we learn?----Is it chance? Wanderer: Children waiting, eager for a turn,Which of us will be the chosen one?One to join a loving family,Every day, someone else is whisked away. All but me.Now I see the rising of the sun,Maybe this time, I will be the one,One look and she turns away from me,And I’m left alone to wait another day, as I say,What is it that’s wrong of me?What is it I cannot see?Why is it that every dayEveryone just walks away?All I do is hope someday,For someone to smile at me,And to have a family,So I’ll finally know what is love.---In the mirror, there right on my face,A small scar that I could not erase,Just then someone walked right up to me,And said that it was time to leave this place, finally!Now I’m being whisked away,Into someone’s warm embrace,I’m so happy I could say,Someone wants me after all,Now I’m finally going home,To a place to call my own,I no longer feel alone,Because now I know what is love.----There I slept, the hours flying by,Dreaming of the life with them and I,Then I woke up on an empty road…There’s no one in sight, nothing but barren land and sky, not a sound andNow I see the sky is growing dim,No one hears me cry out from the rim,After all is done, I realizeNo one wants me after all,After all this time, I finally knowThis is just how the story goes,Lost and gone, forever more,Never knowing love.

I will save you from the storm.Don’t you wish you could go back in time,When life was simple, no need to worry.Now you see there is no reason or rhyme,Where are your hopes? Wanderer: I was always smiling,Even when feeling sad,When I’d feel the blues, IRemember what we have,And we would look to the futureSomeday standing tall,If they ask if something’s wrong,I say nothing at all.----Hermit: The door is locked but no one’s homeSeems like they’ve gone away,Waited as the clock ticked on,Passing by the day,What was the last thing they told me?I cannot recall,There I lied, surrounded byNothing at all.----Wanderer: I was often hungry,But I should wait my turn,We should not be selfish,Though sacrifice, we learn!And then one night we snuck into the hall,We couldn’t believe how much food we saw,But it all was thrown away,Like nothing at all.----Hermit: Who knows how much time passed,Before I looked outside,Searching all around, I found,Where they did reside,They scattered coins everywhere without a care,All around the shining hall,There I finally understood,I was nothing at all.----Wanderer: I see my face in the mirror,I look like such a mess.Patch up all the red spots,Though sins I must suppress!And then I give the biggest smile I can,Like a little doll.All to make them happy,Though I feel nothing at all.----Hermit: I saw some former friends of yours,Look at just how they’ve grown.One is now in jail, whileAnother sleeps alone.Nowhere to go, they cry but no one’s home,Only the darkness heeds their call,As their dreams for the future,Come to nothing at all.----Hermit: This is just how the world works,No need to be upset,It will take some time, butSomeday, you’llforget.Wanderer: But it’s so hard to simply look away,From all our hopes, though fallen,When at the end of the rainbow,Both: There’s nothing at all.

Hermit: Once, I met a traveler, beautiful and brightSaid she knew some magic. That was quite a sight.“I can show the future, would you come with me?”How could I refuse? From the past, I could be free.She showed me a vision, of eternity,There she said the world was waiting there for me.Time went on and I saw that everything was dying.There, inside the void, I saw who she really was.Do you think she loves you, Do you think she cares?Have you fallen, for her sleight of hand?Putting all your faith in a foolish little girl.Who only talks, but doesn’t understand.----Look, outside the window, See the world pass by. To theUniverse we’re nothing, no one would see us die.Life goes on and all our pain’s no consequenceVoid of any meaning and fate will not relent.Do you think they love you, do you think they care?As you see them walk on by.All preoccupied with their ever moving lives,Spare a piece of mind? No, they don’t have any time.----There is no future for us waiting out there,It’s like they say, that life isn’t fair.But I promise that you’ll never be alone,For I’ll show you a life that you’ve never known.I know it hurts, seeing all the squandered years,Trapped inside as life passed you by,Don’t you worry, I am here, now until the end of time,You don’t have to fear for I won’t disappear.Even if nobody loves you, and nobody cares,We’re still here, still singing somehow,Finally, we are home, we can stay forever now,We’ve found peace on earth, our eternity to share.
